The present invention relates to a tire air pressure monitoring system for automatically setting a sensor position and an operation method thereof. According to the present invention, air pressure and temperature information for each tire position can be confirmed through a pneumatic sensor. A three-axis sensor matching with a sensor ID of a pneumatic sensor is installed together to distinguish the left and right, and front and rear tires through rotational acceleration (or angular velocity) based on an X axis, Y axis, and Z axis of the three-axis sensor, such that the position of a tire can be set automatically and accurately.

    본 발명은 센서 위치를 자동 설정하는 타이어 공기압 모니터링 시스템 및 그 운용 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따르면 공기압센서를 통해 타이어의 위치별 공기압과 온도 정보를 확인할 수 있도록 하되, 공기압센서의 센서ID와 매칭되는 3축센서를 함께 설치하여, 3축센서의 X축, Y축, Z축 기준 회전 가속도(또는 각속도)를 통해 좌측과 우측, 전방과 후방 타이어를 구분함으로써, 타이어 위치를 정확하게 자동 설정할 수 있다.
