A tire pressure estimating apparatus and an estimation method thereof are disclosed. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a tire pressure estimating apparatus includes: an input portion for receiving an input of a current wheel speed signal sensed by a sensing device; an analysis portion for analyzing a suspension resonance frequency value in accordance with a current load value based on the input current wheel speed signal; a determination portion for determining whether the current load value is increased for a predetermined time; a compensation portion for compensating for a difference between a tire relative motion radius difference and a tire relative air pressure difference in accordance with a load increase by applying a load compensation model to a tire motion radius analysis model when the current load value is increased for a predetermined time; and an estimation portion for estimating a final tire pressure value based on the compensated tire relative motion radius difference value and the tire relative air pressure difference value. Accordingly, the present invention is able to precisely and efficiently estimate a pressure condition of a tire.

    타이어 압력 추정 장치 및 그 추정 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 타이어 압력 추정 장치 및 그 추정 방법은 감지 장치에서 감지한 현재 휠속도 신호를 입력받는 입력부; 입력된 현재 휠속도 신호를 기초로 현재 하중값에 따른 서스펜션 공진주파수값을 분석하는 분석부; 현재 하중값이 일정 시간동안 증가하는지를 판단하는 판단부; 현재 하중값이 일정 시간동안 증가하면, 타이어 동반경 분석모델에 하중 보상모델을 적용하여 하중 증가에 따른 타이어 상대 동반경 차이값과 타이어 상대 공기압 차이값을 보상시키는 보상부; 및 보상된 타이어 상대 동반경 차이값과 타이어 상대 공기압 차이값을 기초로 최종 타이어 압력값을 추정하는 추정부를 포함한다.
