The present invention provides an electric vehicle which uses a difference between gear reduction ratios of a motor for front wheels and a motor for rear wheels to realize an effect such as multi-stage gear shifting to improve a driving state and driving performance in accordance with a road state. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the electric vehicle using a difference between reduction gear ratios of a front and a rear motor comprises: a front motor to provide power; a front decelerator which is coupled to the front motor and reduces the number of rotations of the front motor to transfer power to front wheels; a front drive unit to supply power to the front motor; a rear motor to supply power to rear wheels; a rear decelerator which is coupled to the rear motor and reduces the number of rotations of the rear motor to transfer power to the rear wheels; a rear drive unit to supply power to the rear motor; and a control unit to control the front drive unit to selectively supply power to the front motor and control the rear drive unit to selectively supply power to the rear motor.

    본 발명의 일실시 예는 전륜에 대한 모터와 후륜에 대한 모터의 감속비 차이를 이용하여 다단변속과 같은 효과를 구현하여 주행상태 및 도로상태에 따라 주행성능을 향상시키는 전기자동차를 제공한다. 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 전후방 모터의 감속비 차이를 이용한 전기자동차는 동력을 제공하는 전방모터, 전방모터와 결합하고 전방모터의 회전수를 줄여서 전륜에 동력을 전달하는 전방감속기, 전방모터에 전력을 공급하는 전방구동부, 후륜에 동력을 제공하는 후방모터, 후방모터와 결합하고 후방모터의 회전수를 줄여서 후륜에 동력을 전달하는 후방감속기, 후방모터에 전력을 공급하는 후방구동부 및 전방구동부가 전방모터에 선택적으로 전력을 공급하도록 제어하고 후방구동부가 후방모터에 선택적으로 전력을 공급하도록 제어하는 제어부를 포함한다.
