Disclosed is a circuit device for supplying operation voltage (UB) for releasing a holding brake (B) and voltage, which is reduced in comparison with the operation voltage (UB) to maintain the holding brake (B) at a released position, to an electronic holding brake (B) of an electric motor (M). Distinguished from a conventional technique, the circuit device is provided with operation voltage (UB) from a control system (S), which is at a further higher level and is arranged to be separated from a motor (M) and the holding brake (B). The circuit device is arranged in or on the motor (M) or is arranged in or on the holding brake, and comprises a voltage regulator adjusted to control voltage, which is reduced after the holding brake (B) is released, to be a value which is fixed independently from the operation voltage (UB).
