Disclosed are a hydrogen generation system for a submarine using metal fuel and an operation method thereof. The hydrogen generation system for a submarine using metal fuel, according to an embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a metal fuel storage device which stores metal fuel in a submarine; a hydrogen generation device which generates hydrogen by receiving the metal fuel from the metal fuel storage device; a fuel cell which receives the hydrogen generated in the hydrogen generation device to consume the hydrogen; and a seawater supply device which supplies seawater to the metal fuel storage device to compensate the reduced weight of the submarine when the metal fuel is used in the hydrogen generation device.

    금속연료를 이용한 잠수함 수소 시스템 및 이의 운용방법에 관하여 개시한다. 본 발명의 일 측면에 따른 금속연료를 이용한 잠수함의 수소 시스템은, 잠수함 내에서 금속연료를 저장하는 금속연료 저장장치와, 금속연료 저장장치로부터 금속연료를 공급받아 수소를 발생시키는 수소발생장치와, 수소발생장치에서 발생된 수소를 공급받아 소비하는 연료전지와, 수소발생장치에서 금속연료를 사용함에 따른 잠수함의 무게를 보상하도록 금속연료 저장장치에 해수를 공급하는 해수공급장치를 포함한다.
