The present invention relates to a measuring apparatus which can compute a tensile strength, compressive strength, and bending strength from among strength and physical properties of a model ice in the ice basin, and to a physical property measuring method. More specifically, the apparatus for measuring a strength and physical properties of a specimen of the model ice produced in the ice basin comprises: (A) a supporting-towing part spatially separated from the model ice plate to support the following components and to transport the same to two horizontal axis above the ice basin; (B) an actuator part directly connected to the supporting-towing part or coupled to the same by other components as a medium to move vertically in a relative fashion; (C) a linear driving part directly connected to the supporting-towing part or coupled to the same by other components as a medium to move uniaxially; and (D) a measuring part combined to one installed farther from the supporting-towing part among the actuator part and the linear driving part, in order to measure tensile and compressive strength and bonding strength of the model ice.
