본 발명은 차량용 공조장치에 관한 것으로서, 냉매 압력과 온도를 감지하는 각 PT센서들의 고장여부를 자가 진단할 수 있고, 이를 통해, 각 PT센서들의 고장으로 인한 냉매 압력과 온도의 감지오류와, 그로 인한 냉,난방 성능 저하와 고장에 능동적으로 대응할 수 있는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 본 발명은, 압축기와, 실외열교환기와, 팽창밸브와, 저압측 열교환기를 구비하는 차량용 공조장치에 있어서, 압축기에서 배출되는 배출측 냉매의 압력과 온도 및, 각 열교환기에서 압축기로 흡입되는 흡입측 냉매의 압력과 온도를 감지하는 복수의 PT센서를 구비하며; PT센서들의 고장여부를 판단하는 자가진단부를 구비한다.

    The present invention relates to an air conditioner for a vehicle, which can self-diagnose whether each PT sensor that detects the refrigerant pressure and temperature is faulty, and which can, through the self-diagnosis, actively respond to errors in the detection of the refrigerant pressure and temperature due to the failure of each PT sensor, as well as the deterioration and failure of cooling and heating performance resulting therefrom. To this end, according to the present invention, the air conditioner for a vehicle includes a compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger, an expansion valve, and a low-pressure side heat exchanger. The air conditioner for a vehicle comprises a plurality of PT sensors that detect the pressure and temperature of the refrigerant on the discharge side discharged from the compressor and the pressure and temperature of the refrigerant on the suction side that is sucked into the compressor from each heat exchanger. The air conditioner for a vehicle is provided with a self-diagnosis unit that determines whether the PT sensors are faulty.
