본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 볼부재와 볼부재로부터 일측으로 연장하는 로드부재를 포함하는 볼스터드와, 내부에 볼부재가 수용되는 수용공간을 구비하는 하우징과, 볼부재와 하우징의 내주면 사이에 게재되는 볼시트와, 볼스터드와 하우징 사이로 이물질이 침입하는 것을 방지하는 더스트 커버를 포함하는 볼조인트가 제공된다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 더스트 커버는 일측 단부에 형성되는 제1 결합부와, 타측 단부에 형성되는 제2 결합부와, 제1 결합부와 제2 결합부 사이에 구비되는 커버 본체부를 포함하고, 더스트 커버의 제1 결합부는 볼스터드의 로드부재에 형성된 제1 장착부에 결합되고 더스트 커버의 제2 결합부는 하우징에 형성된 제2 장착부에 결합되도록 구성될 수 있다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 제1 장착부는 외주면으로부터 반경방향 내측으로 함몰된 리세스 구조로 형성되고, 제1 장착부를 형성하는 리세스 구조의 바닥면은 볼부재로부터 멀어질수록 직경이 축소되도록 구성된 로드부재의 외주면에 의해 형성될 수 있다.

    According to one embodiment of the present invention, provided is a ball joint which comprises: a ball stud including a ball member and a rod member extended from the ball member to one side; a housing having an accommodation space inside to accommodate the ball member; a ball seat interposed between the ball member and the inner circumferential surface of the housing; and a dust cover which prevents foreign substances from flowing into a part between the ball stud and the housing. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the dust cover includes: a first engagement unit formed on the end of one side; a second engagement unit formed on the end of the other side; and a cover main body unit placed between the first engagement unit and the second engagement unit. The first engagement unit of the dust cover can be engaged with a first mounting unit formed on the rod member of the ball stud, and the second engagement unit of the dust cover can be engaged with a second mounting unit formed on the housing. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the first mounting unit can be formed in a recess structure indented from the outer circumferential surface to the internal side in a radial direction, and the floor surface of the recess structure forming the first mounting unit can be formed by the outer circumferential surface of the rod member composed to have a diameter reduced as it moves farther away from the ball member. The present invention aims to provide a ball joint which is able to have an improved engagement structure between the ball stud and the dust cover.
