A VIL system-based autonomous driving function verification method is provided. The VIL system according to an embodiment of the present invention allows an autonomous vehicle to verify autonomous driving functions by linking to a virtual road environment at another location without directly going to an actual test road that simulates a virtual road environment. Accordingly, it is possible to quickly verify autonomous driving functions based on the VIL system for various virtual road environments without changing the driving location, thereby improving the speed and convenience of autonomous driving technology development. An autonomous driving simulator of the present invention comprises: a road environment DB; a simulation engine; a rendering module; an emulation module; a calculation module; and an interlocking module.

    VIL 시스템 기반 자율주행 기능 검증 방법이 제공된다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 VIL 시스템은 자율주행 차량이 가상 도로환경을 모사한 실제 시험도로에 직접 가지 않고 다른 장소에서 가상 도로환경에 연동하여 자율주행 기능을 검증할 수 있게 해준다. 이에 의해 주행 장소를 변경하지 않고서도 다양한 가상 도로환경에 대해 VIL 시스템 기반으로 자율주행 기능의 빠른 검증이 가능해져, 자율주행 기술 개발 속도와 편의를 향상시킬 수 있게 된다.
