An electric vehicle battery charger and an operating method thereof are disclosed. The present invention proposes an electric vehicle battery charger and an operating method thereof, which can charge a battery according to an optimal charging mechanism in consideration of the state of charge of the battery mounted on an electric vehicle, thereby supporting the charging of the battery of the electric vehicle to be safer and more efficient. The electric vehicle battery charger comprises an information receiving unit, a constant current charging control unit, a constant voltage charging control unit, a charging termination control unit, a unique identification information receiving unit, a charging history information generating unit, and an information transmitting unit.

    전기차 배터리 충전기 및 그 동작 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명은 전기차에 탑재된 배터리의 충전 상태를 고려하여 최적의 충전 메커니즘에 따라, 배터리 충전을 수행할 수 있는 전기차 배터리 충전기 및 그 동작 방법을 제시함으로써, 보다 안전하고 효율적으로 상기 전기차의 배터리에 대한 충전이 가능하도록 지원할 수 있다.
