본 발명의 바람직한 실시예에 따른 운전자 뇌파 기반 사용자 독립적인 졸음 상태 감지 장치 및 방법은, 사용자 간 성능 격차를 완화하기 위해 사용자 독립적인 뇌파 기반 운전자 졸음 상태 분류 모델로, 사용자 적대적 학습(Subject Adversarial Training, SAT)을 이용하여 운전자 졸음 상태 분류 모델이 사용자 레이블을 잘못 분류하도록 하고, 서로 다른 사용자 특징 간의 거리를 최소화하는 IFDM(Inter-subject Feature Distance Minimization) 방법을 이용하여 사용자별 성능의 불일치를 줄일 수 있어, 사용자에 상관없이 적용할 수 있고, 또한, 본 발명에 따른 사용자 분류 모델을 통해 뇌파 사용자 레이블이 부족한 경우에 수도 레이블(psedo label)을 획득할 수 있어, 학습 데이터가 부족하더라도 운전자 졸음 상태 분류 모델을 구축할 수 있다.

    An apparatus and a method for detecting a subject-independent fatigue state based on brain waves of a driver according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention are provided. The method uses, as a subject-independent fatigue state classification model to mitigate the performance gap between users, a subject adversarial training (SAT) to allow the driver fatigue state classification model to misclassifies user labels, and uses an inter-subject feature distance minimization (IFDM) method which minimizes the distance between different user features, such that inconsistency in performance for each user can be reduced, thereby being applied regardless of a user. In addition, a pseudo label can be obtained when a brain wave user label is insufficient through a user classification model according to the present invention, such that even if training data is insufficient, a subject fatigue state classification model can be built.
