The present invention relates to a passenger detection radar system that detects passengers by transmitting a radar signal toward a detection target and receiving a reception signal reflected from the detection target, and a radar signal processing method performed thereby. The passenger detection radar system comprises: a data collection unit that collects ADC data received through radar reception channels; a 4D data detection unit that detects 4D data by performing primary signal processing on the collected data; a target feature detection unit that detects feature information of the target through secondary signal processing that extracts and combines new information based on the detected 4D data detection results; an artificial intelligence learning data collection unit that collects data detected by the target feature detection unit; a step-by-step artificial intelligence detection unit that performs tertiary signal processing on the results of artificial intelligence data learning; and a final target determination unit that determines the presence or absence of child passengers and the 3D spatial location thereof by using the final result of artificial intelligence learning and the result value of the 4D data detection unit. Therefore, it is possible to detect living things existing in the interior space of a vehicle, especially child passengers who are alone.

    탐지 대상을 향해 레이더 신호를 송신하고 탐지 대상으로부터 반사되는 수신신호를 수신해서 승객을 탐지하는 승객 탐지 레이더 시스템 및 그에서 수행되는 레이더 신호처리방법에 관한 것으로, 레이더 수신 채널들로 수신되는 ADC 데이터를 수집하는 데이터 수집부, 수집된 데이터에 대해 1차 신호처리를 수행해서 4D 데이터를 검출하는 4D 데이터 검출부, 검출된 4D 데이터 검출 결과를 기반으로 새로운 정보를 추출하고 조합하는 2차 신호처리를 통해 표적의 특징 정보를 검출하는 표적 특징 검출부, 상기 표적 특징 검출부에서 검출된 데이터를 수집하는 인공지능 학습 데이터 수집부, 인공지능 데이터 학습을 수행한 결과를 3차 신호처리하는 단계적 인공지능 검출부 및 인공지능 학습을 수행한 최종 결과와 상기 4D 데이터 검출부의 결과 값을 활용해서 어린이 승객의 존재 여부 및 3차원 공간 위치를 판단하는 최종 표적 판단부를 포함하는 구성을 마련하여, 차량의 실내 공간에 존재하는 생명체, 특히 단독으로 존재하는 어린이 승객을 탐지할 수 있다.
