The present invention relates to a speed detection and calculation device of an automatic train control (ATC) system and, more specifically, to a speed detection and calculation device which is installed on a train wheel of a railway vehicle and detects and calculates the rotational speed and direction of the train wheel required for the automatic train control system. Specifically, the present invention relates to the speed detection and calculation device of an ATC system, which is capable of providing excellent operational stability and accuracy by minimizing a malfunction of a tachometer (speed detector) and the occurrence of errors in a process of verifying the operating power supplied from a speed and distance unit (SDU) to the tachometer. In the present invention, the tachometer is configured such that a magnetic force unit composed of a single-sided multipole is mounted on a rotating disk installed on a driving shaft connected to an axle, a Hall sensor is installed to detect the magnetic force unit, and the Hall sensor can detect and generate a pulse signal proportional to the rotational speed of the train wheel from the magnetic force unit. In order to inspect whether the operating power is normally supplied to the tachometer, a circuit built into the speed detector provides a reference voltage. Accordingly, even when changes occur depending on the characteristics of environmental changes, the change rate thereof can be minimized.

    본 발명은 자동 열차운전 시스템(ATC: Automatic Train Control)의 속도검출계산기에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 철도차량의 열차바퀴에 설치되어 자동 열차운전 시스템에 필요한 열차바퀴의 회전속도 및 방향을 검출하고 연산하는 속도검출계산기에 관한 것으로서, 특히 타코미터(속도검출기)의 오작동과, 속도계산기(SDU: Speed and Distance Unit)에서 타코미터로 공급하는 동작전원 검증과정에서의 오류 발생을 최소화하여 우수한 작동안정성과 정확도를 제공할 수 있도록 한 자동 열차운전 시스템의 속도검출계산기에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은, 차축에 연결된 드라이빙 샤프트에 설치되어 회전구동되는 디스크에 편면다극 등으로 구성되는 자기력부를 장착하고, 상기 자기력부를 검지하는 홀센서를 설치하여 홀센서가 자기력부로부터 열차바퀴의 회전속도에 비례하는 펄스 신호를 검출, 생성할 수 있게 타코미터를 구성하고, 상기 타코미터에 정상적으로 작동전원이 공급되고 있는지 검증하기 위해 속도검출기에 내장되는 회로에서 기준 전압을 제공함으로써 환경변동특성에 따라 변동이 발생하더라도 그 변동율을 최소화할 수 있도록 구성한 것에 요지가 있다.
