본 발명은 주변차량 정보 전송 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 주변차량 정보 전송 장치는 차량에 장착된 하나 이상의 센서를 통해 제1주변차량 정보를 획득하는 검출부, 차량간 통신을 통해 제2주변차량 정보를 획득하는 통신부, 및 상기 제1주변차량 정보의 신뢰도를 판단하고, 상기 제1주변차량 정보와 상기 제2주변차량 정보의 신뢰도를 비교하여 상기 제1주변차량 정보의 신뢰도가 제2주변차량 정보의 신뢰도보다 높으면 상기 차량간 통신을 통해 상기 제1주변차량 정보를 전송하는 처리부를 포함한다.

    The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for transmitting peripheral vehicle information. The apparatus for transmitting peripheral vehicle information according to the present invention includes a detection unit for obtaining first peripheral vehicle information through one or more sensors mounted on a vehicle, a communication unit for obtaining second peripheral vehicle information through vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication, and a processing unit for determining the reliability of the first peripheral vehicle information and transmitting the first peripheral vehicle information through the V2V communication if the reliability of the first peripheral vehicle information is higher than the reliability of the second peripheral vehicle information by comparing the first peripheral vehicle information with the second peripheral vehicle information. Accordingly, the present invention can prevent the reduction of an initial penetration rate of a V2V communication terminal.
