The present invention relates to a method for connecting handrails, which is for mutually bonding both ends of a handrail having a long length, formed of a synthetic resin material, and having a metal cable mounted therein, the method including: an incision part formation step of forming an incision part at the both ends of the handrail in a partial section in a longitudinal direction of the handrail, in which a first incision part and a second incision part are formed to have mutually different lengths while being vertically spaced apart from each other at a predetermined interval; a cutting part formation step of cutting an upper piece, a connection piece, and a lower piece in specific shapes, respectively, so that the both ends of the handrail are stably bonded, in which the both ends of the handrail that has been subject to the incision part formation step include the upper piece formed at an upper end of the first incision part, the connection piece formed between the first incision part and the second incision part, and the lower piece formed at a lower end of the second incision part; a fitting step of allowing the both ends of the handrail that has been subject to the cutting part formation step to make contact with each other so that the both ends of the handrail are stably connected to each other; an adhesive sheet insertion step of inserting an adhesive sheet into each of the first and second incision parts of the handrail that has been subject to the fitting step; a resin replenishment step of seating a cover piece in order to replenish a resin in a partial section of the upper piece removed in the cutting part formation step; and a fusion step of applying heat to the handrail that has been subject to the resin replenishment step to fuse the both ends of the handrail. Accordingly, a lifespan of an endless handrail is improved.

    본 발명은 핸드레일 이음 방법에 관한 것으로, 긴 길이를 가지되, 합성수지재로 제조되며, 금속 케이블이 내장된 핸드레일의 양단부를 상호 접합시키기 위한 핸드레일 이음 방법에 있어서, 상기 핸드레일의 양단부에 핸드레일의 길이방향을 따라 일부구간에 절개부를 형성시키는 것으로, 상하로 일정간격 이격되되 서로 다른 길이를 가지도록 제1 절개부와 제2 절개부가 형성되는 절개부 형성단계, 상기 절개부 형성단계를 거친 핸드레일의 양끝단부는, 상기 제1 절개부의 상단에 형성되는 상부편과, 상기 제1 절개부와 제2 절개부 사이에 형성되는 이음편과, 상기 제2 절개부의 하단에 형성된 하부편을 포함하며, 상기 핸드레일의 양단부가 안정적으로 접합될 수 있도록 상기 상부편, 이음편, 하부편이 각각 특정 형상으로 절단되는 절단부 형성단계, 상기 절단부 형성단계를 거친 상기 핸드레일의 양단부가 서로 안정적으로 연결되도록 양단이 접촉되는 끼움단계, 상기 끼움단계를 거친 핸드레일의 상기 제1 절개부 및 제2 절개부에 각각 접착시트가 삽입되는 접착시트 삽입단계, 상기 절단부 형성단계에서 제거된 상기 상부편의 일부구간에 수지를 보충하기 위해 덮개편이 안착되는 수지보충단계, 상기 수지보충단계를 거친 핸드레일에 열을 가하여 핸드레일의 양단이 융착되도록 하는 융착단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
