The present invention relates to a regenerable battery capable of guaranteeing stability with respect to fire or explosion danger for a predetermined period or greater using a waste battery for a vehicle which is used and withdrawn from an eco-friendly vehicle. A discharge balance examination-based method for regenerating a waste battery for a vehicle comprises the steps of: preparing a battery module of a waste-battery including the N number of battery cells, wherein N is equal to or larger than 2; charging the battery module according to a current rate designated to a full charge voltage in a specification through a module connection terminal connected with a power terminal of the battery module; discharging the charged battery module according to a current rate designated to a full discharge voltage in the specification through the module connection terminal; confirming balance information including a discharge voltage difference between the N number of battery cells included in the battery module through a cell connection terminal connected with a cell terminal of the battery module when the battery module is discharged; performing a balance test to determine whether a discharge voltage difference between the N number of battery cells included in the balance information matches with a preset discharge voltage valid balance range; and charging and regenerating the N number of battery cells included in the battery module discharged to the full discharge voltage in the specification in a state that the discharge voltage difference between the N number of battery cells matches with the preset discharge voltage valid balance range.

    본 발명의 방전 밸런스 검사 기반 차량용 폐배터리 재생 방법에 따르면, 친환경 차량에 사용되다가 회수된 차량용 폐배터리를 재생하는 배터리 재생장치를 통해 실행되는 방법에 있어서, N(N≥2)개의 배터리셀을 포함하는 폐배터리의 배터리모듈을 준비하고, 상기 배터리모듈의 전원 단자와 연결되는 모듈 연결 단자를 통해 상기 배터리모듈을 스펙 상 완전 충전 전압까지 지정된 전류 비(Current Rate)에 따라 충전하고, 상기 모듈 연결 단자를 통해 상기 충전된 배터리모듈을 스펙 상 완전 방전 전압까지 지정된 전류 비에 따라 방전하는 절차를 수행하고, 상기 배터리모듈을 방전 시, 상기 배터리모듈의 셀 단자와 연결되는 셀 연결 단자를 통해 상기 배터리모듈에 구비된 N개의 배터리셀 간 방전 전압 차이를 포함하는 밸런스 정보를 확인하고, 상기 밸런스 정보에 포함된 N개의 배터리셀 간 방전 전압 차이가 기 설정된 방전 전압 유효 밸런스 범위에 매칭되는지 판단하는 밸런스 검사를 수행하며, 상기 N개의 배터리셀 간 방전 전압 차이가 기 설정된 방전 전압 유효 밸런스 범위에 매칭된 상태로 스펙 상 완전 방전 전압까지 방전된 배터리모듈에 포함된 N개의 배터리셀을 스펙 상 정격 전압까지 충전하여 재생한다.
