According to an embodiment of the present invention, provided is an underwater target detection apparatus which comprises: a control unit generating a command for controlling the operation of a sonobuoy; a modulation unit modulating the command into a frequency-shift keying (FSK) digital signal; and a transmission unit transmitting the modulated signal to the sonobuoy in an ultra-high frequency (UHF) band.
