본 발명은 차량에서 승탑자를 감지하여 인식할 수 있는 기술에 관한 것으로 특히 UWB(Ultra Wide Band) 레이더를 이용한 승탑자 감지 시스템에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 UWB 레이더를 이용한 승탑자 감지 시스템은 UWB 레이더 신호를 송수신하는 UWB 레이더 모듈;과 UWB 레이더 모듈로부터 수신된 레이더 신호를 분석하여 승탑자를 감지하고 승탑자가 감지된 경우 유아와 성인을 구별해서 판단하는 승탑자 판단수단;을 구비하는 제어장치;를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.

    The present invention relates to technology capable of detecting and recognizing a passenger in a vehicle, and particularly, to a passenger detection system using an ultra wide band (UWB) radar. The passenger detection system using a UWB radar according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a UWB radar module that transmits and receives a UWB radar signal; and a control device having a passenger determination unit that analyzes the radar signal received from the UWB radar module to detect the passenger and distinguishes and determines infants and adults when the passenger is detected.
