라이다 센서 및 카메라를 이용한 객체 검출 방법 및 그를 위한 장치를 개시한다. 라이다 센서로부터 획득한 라이다 데이터에서 지면 제거 및 클러스터링 처리를 통해 객체 후보군을 검출하고, 카메라로 촬영된 이미지 영역에 객체 후보군을 투영한 후 바운딩 박스(Bounding Box)를 생성하여 추출된 객체 후보군 영상 내에서 관심객체를 검출하는 라이다 센서 및 카메라를 이용한 객체 검출 방법 및 그를 위한 장치에 관한 것이다.

    Disclosed are a method for detecting an object using a LiDAR sensor and a camera, and an apparatus therefor. Provided are the method for detecting an object using a LiDAR sensor and a camera, which detects an object candidate group through the ground removal and clustering processing in LiDAR data obtained from the LiDAR sensor, and projects the object candidate group on an image region photographed by the camera, and then generates a bounding box to detect an object of interest in an extracted object candidate group image, and the apparatus therefor.
