The present invention relates to a device and a method for controlling a transmission during coasting. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the device for controlling a transmission during coasting includes: a learning part learning the tendency of a driver based on condition information of a vehicle during general driving and coasting; a calculation part calculating a moment when a transmission enters a neutral state during coasting in response to a learning result of the learning part; a determination part determining the coasting of the vehicle, and then, determining whether the transmission reaches the neutral state entry moment calculated by the calculation part in response to the tendency of the driver learned by the learning part if the vehicle is coasting; and a neutral state entry control part making the transmission enter the neutral state if the transmission reaches the neutral state entry moment in response to the tendency of the driver during coasting. Therefore, the present invention is capable of increasing fuel efficiency by differentiating neutral state entry moments.

    본 발명은 타력주행 중 변속기 제어 장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따른 타력주행 중 변속기 제어 장치는, 일반주행 중 및 타력주행 중 차량의 상태 정보를 이용하여 운전자의 성향을 학습하는 학습부와, 학습부의 학습 결과에 대응하여 타력주행 중 변속기의 중립상태 진입시기를 산출하는 산출부와, 차량의 타력주행을 판단하고, 차량이 타력주행 중인 경우 학습부가 학습한 운전자의 성향에 대응하여 산출부가 산출한 변속기의 중립상태 진입시기에 도달하였는지 판단하는 판단부와, 타력주행 중 운전자의 성향에 대응하여 변속기의 중립상태 진입시기에 도달한 경우 변속기를 중립상태로 진입시키는 중립상태 진입 제어부를 포함한다.
