The present invention relates to a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) cord and a method for manufacturing the same. The crystallization is induced at a direct bottom of a nozzle by raising a spin draft, and heat set of a Godet roller is set to a high temperature, thereby providing a PET cord having low elongation change rate and having a low strength change rate after a high temperature tensile test.
