전륜과 후륜 중 일방(10R)에, 브레이크 조작 부재(40)의 조작에 따른 액압 제동력을 발생시키는 액압 브레이크 장치(32)를 설치하고, 전륜과 후륜 중 타방(10F)에, 브레이크 조작 부재의 조작에 따른 전동 제동력을 발생시키는 전동 브레이크 장치(34)를 설치함으로써, 각 브레이크 장치의 장점을 살린 실용적인 브레이크 시스템이 실현된다. 액압 제동력과 전동 제동력이 협조하도록 제어해도 된다.

    A vehicle brake system, including: a brake operation member (40) to be operated by a driver of a vehicle; a hydraulic brake device (32) provided for one of a front wheel (10F) and a rear wheel (10R) and configured to generate a hydraulic braking force in accordance with an operation of the brake operation member, the hydraulic braking force depending on a pressure of a working fluid; and an electric brake device (34) provided for the other of the front wheel and the rear wheel and configured to generate an electric braking force in accordance with the operation of the brake operation member, the electric braking force depending on a motion of an electric motor (114).
