The present invention provides a smart window, a sliding smart window, a smart window for a vehicle, a sun visor for a vehicle, a smart window device, and a head mount smart window device, which have maximized user convenience. A smart window for a vehicle includes a first substrate which is transparent, arranged to face a second substrate, and placed in a room direction; the second substrate placed in an outdoor direction; a first electrode which is transparent and sequentially disposed on a surface of the first substrate toward the second substrate; a first alignment layer oriented in a first direction; a second electrode which is transparent and sequentially disposed on a surface of the second substrate toward the first substrate; a second alignment layer oriented in a second direction different from the first direction; and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first alignment layer and the second alignment layer, wherein, when ′V′ is a potential difference applied between the first electrode and the second electrode, the transmittance of light incident from the outside in the first incidence direction perpendicular to the second substrate to a room is referred to as vertical transmission, and a degree of transmission of light incident from the outside in the second incidence direction, which is not perpendicular to the second substrate, to the room is referred to as a first oblique transmission, the smart window has a first tilt transmittance which is smaller than the vertical transmittance when V is other than 0, and a difference between the vertical transmittance and the first tilt transmittance when the ′V′ is not 0 which is larger than the difference between the vertical transmittance and the first tilt transmittance when the ′V′ is zero.

    본 발명은 사용자 편의성이 극대화된 스마트 윈도우, 슬라이딩 스마트 윈도우, 차량용 스마트 윈도우, 차량용 썬바이저, 스마트 윈도우 장치 및 헤드장착 스마트 윈도우 기기를 위하여, 투광성이며 상호 대향되도록 배치되는 실내 방향에 위치할 제1기판과 실외 방향에 위치할 제2기판과, 상기 제1기판의 상기 제2기판 방향의 면 상에 순차로 배치된 투광성인 제1전극과 제1방향으로 배향된 제1배향막과, 상기 제2기판의 상기 제1기판 방향의 면 상에 순차로 배치된 투광성인 제2전극과 상기 제1방향과 상이한 제2방향으로 배향된 제2배향막과, 상기 제1배향막과 상기 제2배향막 사이에 개재된 액정층을 구비하고, 상기 제1전극과 상기 제2전극 사이에 인가되는 전위차를 V라 하고, 상기 제2기판에 수직인 제1입사방향에서 실외로부터 입사한 광의 실내로의 투과도를 수직투과도라 하며, 상기 제2기판에 수직이 아닌 제2입사방향에서 실외로부터 입사한 광의 실내로의 투과도를 제1경사투과도라 하면, V가 0이 아닐 시의 제1경사투과도는 수직투과도보다 작고, V가 0일 시의 수직투과도와 제1경사투과도의 차이보다 V가 0이 아닐 시의 수직투과도와 제1경사투과도의 차이가 더 큰, 스마트 윈도우, 슬라이딩 스마트 윈도우, 차량용 스마트 윈도우, 차량용 썬바이저, 스마트 윈도우 장치 및 헤드장착 스마트 윈도우 기기를 제공한다.
