두 개의 복합 적층체는 주변 환경에 노출된 부위를 가지는 접합면에 의해서 함께 결합된다. 상기 접합면은 낙뢰의 영향을 완화하기 위하여 상기 적층체의 전기 전도도와 임피던스와 정합하는 전기 전도도와 임피던스를 가지는 스크림을 포함하고 있다.

    Two composite laminates are joined together by a bondline (22) having portions exposed to the ambient environment. The bondline contains scrim (32) having an electrical conductivity and impedance matched to that of the laminates in order to mitigate effects of lightning strikes.
