A demagnetization method for magnetic signature reduction of a vessel, according to the present invention, comprises: a first alternating magnetic field applying step of applying a starting magnetic field and carrying out reduction at a predetermined ratio to a final magnetic field while alternating the polarities of the current; a second alternating magnetic field applying step of applying a second alternating magnetic field so as to search for a point where the sum of permanent vertical magnetization (PVM) and induced vertical magnetization (IVM) is equal to or lower than a threshold value; and a third alternating magnetic field application step of applying a third alternating magnetic field having an alternation number greater than that of the second alternating magnetic field so as to determine whether a magnetic field is generated by vertical magnetization (VM), wherein the viability of the vessel can be increased from enemy threats such as underwater mines in a battlefield environment.

    본 발명에 따른 함정의 자기신호 저감을 위한 탈자(demagnetization) 방법은, 시작 자기장을 인가하고, 전류의 극성을 교번시키면서 종료 자기장까지 일정 크기의 비율로 감소시키는 제1 교번 자기장 인가 단계; 제2 교번 자기장을 인가하여 수직 영구자화(PVM: Permanent Vertical Magnetization)와 수직 유도자화(IVM: Induced Vertical Magnetization)의 합이 임계값 이하가 되는 지점을 탐색하는 제2 교번 자기장 인가 단계; 및 제2 교번 자기장보다 많은 교번 횟수를 갖는 제3 교번 자기장을 인가하여, 수직방향 자화(VM, Vertical Magnetization)에 의한 자기장이 발생하지 않는지 여부를 판단하는 제3 교번 자기장 인가 단계를 포함하여, 전장 환경에서 수중 기뢰 등과 같은 적 위협세력으로부터 함정의 생존성을 증대시킬 수 있다.
