차량 전방 횡방향 빔(4)은, 차량 전방 어셈블리(1)의 실드 스킨(2)과 후면(6) 사이에 위치되고, 실드 스킨(2)과의 충격이 발생될 시에 에너지를 흡수함으로써 변형하도록 설계되며, 대략적으로 평면형의 전면(8)을 갖는다. 차량 전방 횡방향 빔(4)은, 차량 전방 횡방향 빔(4)의 전면(8)으로부터의 공기의 층류(laminar flow)를 차량의 전방 어셈블리(1)의 후면(6)을 향하여 촉진시키기 위해, 차량의 전방을 향하고 있는 오목부(16)를 갖는 후방의 페어링 요소(10)를 포함한다.
The beam (4) has a rear fairing element (10) including a concavity part (16) turned towards front of a motor vehicle so as to promote laminar flow of air from a plain front face (8) of the beam towards a rear face (6) of a front face assembly (1) of the vehicle. A bracket (14) is snapped into a slot (12) of the fairing element. The fairing element is formed by a plastic profile. The profile is arranged to fold onto itself so as to form a closed section of the fairing element. An independent claim is also included for a front face assembly for a motor vehicle and comprising functional elements of the vehicle.
