본 발명은 휠의 크기에 따라 타이어 저압경고 레벨을 설정하는 타이어 저압경고 레벨 설정 방법에 관한 것으로서, TPMS 센서로부터 입력되는 RF 신호의 주기를 확인하는 단계, RF 신호와 차량의 주행속도를 이용하여 휠의 크기를 계산하는 단계 및 기 설정된 저압경고 레벨 테이블에 따라 휠의 크기에 해당하는 저압경고 레벨을 설정하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.

    PURPOSE: A low pressure warning level setting method for tires is provided to enable users to automatically set a low pressure warning level using the cycle of a radio frequency signal inputted from a TPMS sensor and car speed information. CONSTITUTION: A low pressure warning level setting method for tires comprises the following steps: checking the cycle of a radio frequency signal inputted from TPMS sensors; calculating the size of tire wheels based on the radio frequency signal and the car speed; and setting a low pressure warning level for the tire wheel size based on a pre-set low pressure warning level table. A low pressure warning level setting apparatus includes the TPMS sensors(20) installed on four tires(11) for detecting the acceleration of the tire wheels(12), a TPMS ECU(30), and a memory unit(40). The TPMS sensors include a radio frequency signal transmitter.
