The present invention relates to a method for providing virtual engine sounds and vibrations which enables a user to check whether an engine is successfully started and to experience the sounds of an engine and exhaust sounds of an automobile or other vehicles (motorcycles, large-sized vehicles, and so on) to have fun by providing virtual engine sounds and exhaust sounds to a vehicle, which uses electricity, hydrogen, and a solar cell (a power source without sound) as a power source, or a common vehicle and improves the monotony of driving by providing virtual vibration. The method for providing virtual engine sounds and vibrations comprises the following steps of: (S10) selecting and setting preferred engine sounds and intensity of vibrations; (S20) outputting the engine sounds through speakers installed on a front side, a rear side, and an indoor space when an engine starter is operated; (S30) outputting vibrations with the intensity of vibrations through vibration terminals arranged on a steering wheel and a drivers seat when the engine starter is operated; (S40) adjusting the volume of each speaker and controlling each speaker to be turned on/off; and (S50) adjusting the intensity of vibration of the vibration terminals and controlling the vibration terminals to be turned on/off.

    본 발명은 전기, 수소, 태양전지 등(무음동력원)을 동력원으로 하는 차량 및 일반 엔진차량에 가상 엔진 사운드 및 배기음을 제공하여 시동의 성공 유무 확인과 더불어 운전자의 즐거움을 위해 선호하는 차종, 또는 기타 차량(이륜차, 대형차 등)의 엔진 사운드 및 배기음을 체험할 수 있고, 나아가 가상 진동을 제공하여 밋밋한 주행감을 개선하고자 하는 가상 엔진 사운드 및 가상 진동 제공 방법에 관한 것으로, (S10) 선호 엔진 사운드 및 진동 강도를 선택하여 세팅하는 단계와, (S20) 시동장치의 구동 시, 차량의 전면, 후면 및 실내에 설치된 스피커를 통해 상기 엔진 사운드를 출력하는 단계와, (S30) 상기 시동장치의 구동 시, 차량의 스티어링 휠 및 운전석에 구비된 다수의 진동단자를 통해 상기 진동 강도에 해당하는 진동을 출력하는 단계와, (S40) 상기 각 스피커의 볼륨 조절 및 온/오프를 제어하는 단계 및, (S50) 상기 진동단자의 진동 강도 조절 및 온/오프를 제어하는 단계를 포함하여 이루어진다.
