The present invention relates to a real time object region detection method robust to a vehicle′s headlight, and an apparatus thereof. The real time object region detection method robust to the vehicle′s headlight comprises: a step of enabling a control unit to generate a binary image after modeling an image, input through a camera, using a Gaussian mixture modeling technique; a step of primarily extracting an object candidate blob from the binary image; a step of generating a histogram of a differential image from the primarily extracted blob; a step of extracting a secondary blob by dividing the primarily extracted blob into two regions by performing clustering based on the histogram; a step of computing a similarity between the extracted secondary blob and a background; and a step of determining the secondary blob, having the similarity less than or equal to a preset threshold, as an object region.

    본 발명은 차량의 헤드라이트에 강인한 실시간 객체 영역 검출 방법 및 장치에 관한 것으로, 카메라를 통해 입력된 영상을 제어부가 가우시안 혼합 모델링 기법으로 모델링한 후 이진화 영상을 생성하는 단계, 상기 이진화 영상에서 1차로 객체 후보 블랍을 추출하는 단계, 상기 1차로 추출된 블랍에서 차분 영상의 히스토그램을 생성하는 단계, 상기 히스토그램을 기반으로 클러스터링하여 상기 1차로 추출된 블랍을 두 영역으로 분리하여 2차 블랍을 추출하는 단계, 상기 추출된 2차 블랍과 배경간의 유사성을 연산하는 단계, 및 상기 유사성이 미리 설정된 문턱값 이하인 2차 블랍을 객체 영역으로 판단하는 단계를 포함한다.
