The present invention relates to a vehicle management apparatus and a method thereof, which evaluate performance of a vehicle through comparison thereof, determine average operation environment of the vehicle, and measure engine endurance of the vehicle. According to the vehicle management apparatus and the method thereof, MRPK is stored in a memory part by setting RPK capable of traveling the longest distance with a minimum engine RPM of the vehicle as MRPK in advance. A revolution accumulator accumulates RPM of the vehicle engine by receiving an RPM signal generated in an RPM device of the vehicle. An RPK calculation part calculates an RPM per unit distance square by receiving a total traveling distance from a traveling distance measurement unit of the vehicle and receiving the accumulated RPM of the engine from the revolution accumulator. A control part is inputted with the RPM per unit distance square, and reads MRPK from the memory part, and determines excessive revolution of the engine by comparing the RPM per unit distance square with MRPK.

    본 발명은 차량의 성능을 비교 평가하고 차량의 평균 운행 환경을 판단하고 차량의 엔진 내구도를 측정하도록 한 차량 관리 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 차량의 최소 엔진 회전수로 최장 거리를 주행할 수 있는 RPK를 MRPK로 미리 설정하여 메모리부에 MRPK를 저장해 두며; 회전수 누적부가 차량의 RPM 장치에서 발생되는 RPM 신호를 입력받아 차량 엔진의 회전수를 누적시켜 주며; RPK 계산부가 차량의 주행거리 측정기로부터 총 주행거리를 입력받고 회전수 누적부에서 누적시킨 엔진 누적회전수를 입력받아 단위거리제곱 당 회전수를 계산하며; 제어부가 단위거리제곱 당 회전수를 입력받고 메모리부로부터 MRPK를 판독하며, 단위거리제곱 당 회전수와 MRPK를 비교하여 엔진의 과회전 여부를 판단한다.
