The present invention relates to a battery housing for an electric vehicle, which can improve cooling performance by securing permeability and increase safety of a battery at the same time. According to the present invention, a battery housing for an electric vehicle comprises: a body having at least one opening, wherein an accommodating space in which at least one battery is installed is formed; and a louver unit having an edge attached around an opening of the body and a plurality of inclined ribs provided to be vertically spaced from the edge. The inclined ribs are formed to be upwardly inclined toward an internal side of the body.

    본 발명은 통기성을 확보하여 배터리의 냉각성능을 향상시킴과 동시에, 방수성을 확보하여 배터리의 안정성을 높일 수 있는 전기자동차용 배터리 하우징에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 의한 전기자동차용 배터리 하우징은, 내부에 하나 이상의 배터리가 설치되는 수용공간이 형성되고, 하나 이상의 개구를 가진 본체; 및 상기 본체의 개구 주변에 부착되는 테두리 및 상기 테두리에서 상하방향으로 이격되게 마련된 복수의 경사리브를 가진 루버유닛;을 포함하고, 상기 복수의 경사리브는 상기 본체의 내측을 향해 상향 경사지게 형성되는 것을 특징으로 한다.
