The present invention relates to an electric vehicle and an operating method thereof. Especially, in solving a voltage difference between cells of a battery supplying an operation voltage to the electric vehicle, accuracy of a cell voltage which becomes a reference in performing or stopping cell balancing is improved by judging whether a voltage measured in each battery cell is a valid value or not according to a voltage value. Because the electric vehicle can perform stable cell balancing by solving problems such as performing unnecessary cell balancing or abnormal stopping of cell balancing, the voltage difference between battery cells are reduced and the operation voltage is supplied stably. Therefore, stability and performance of the electric vehicle can be improved.

    본 발명은 전기자동차 및 그 동작방법에 관한 것으로, 특히 전기자동차에 동작전원을 공급하는 배터리의 셀 간 전압편차를 해소하는데 있어서, 각각의 배터리 셀에서 측정되는 전압에 대하여 전압값에 따라 유효한 값인지 여부를 판단함으로써, 셀밸런싱을 수행하거나 중지하는데에 따른 기준이 되는 셀전압의 정확성을 향상시키고, 불필요한 셀밸런싱의 수행 또는 셀밸런싱의 비정상적인 중지와 같은 문제를 해소함으로써 안정적인 셀밸런싱을 수행할 수 있으므로, 그에 따라 배터리 셀간의 전압편차를 감소시켜 안정적인 동작전원의 공급이 가능하므로, 전기자동차의 안정성 및 성능이 향상되는 효과가 있다.
