To achieve a fail-safe function without any microcomputer.SOLUTION: A switch device 1 includes a switch element 10 connected to a load connection terminal OUT, a control unit 20 that turns on/off the switch element 10 according to an input signal IN, and a detection unit 30 for detecting an abnormal state (for example, an open abnormality or short-circuit abnormality of a load, or a temperature abnormality of the switch element 10) to generate a flag detection signal ST. The control unit 20 shares the flag detection signal ST with other switch devices, and even in a case where the input signal IN is at a logic level under switch-off, the switch element 10 is turned on when the flag detection signal ST is at a logic level under abnormality. Further, even in a case where the input signal IN is at a logic level under switch-on, the control unit 20 turns off the switch element 10 when the flag detection signal ST is at the logic level under abnormality.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
