To attain a hub unit bearing capable of improving sealing performance of an outside sealing member, regarding a structure that screws a hub bolt into a female screw hole formed in a rotary flange.SOLUTION: An axial outside surface of a standing plate part 41 of a sliding contact ring 20a constituting an outside sealing member 6a is located axially inward with respect to an axial outer end surface of an outer ring 2a, and a radially outer edge of the standing plate part 41 is made to face an inclined surface 25 formed on an inner peripheral surface of the outer ring 2a in a radial direction and an axial direction. A facing distance (A) between the radially outer end edge of the standing plate part 41 and the inclined surface 25 is made smaller than a facing distance (B) between an axial inner end surface of a hub bolt 23 and the axial outer end surface of the outer ring 2a, and is made smaller than a facing distance (C) between an axial inside surface of a rotary flange 12a and the axial outer end surface of the outer ring 2a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
