To provide a stopping support device capable of automatically calculating a position where a getting-on/getting-off object can easily get-on/get-off in response to a height of a structure.SOLUTION: A stopping support device 1 includes: an information acquisition section 100 for acquiring peripheral information of a vehicle; a detection section 101 for detecting a travelable area of the vehicle and a three-dimensional shape of an object existing in the periphery of the vehicle based on the peripheral information of the vehicle; a stoppable area calculation section 105 for calculating a stoppable area being the area where the vehicle can stop based on the travelable area of the vehicle and the three-dimensional shape of the object; a getting-on/getting-off easiness calculation section 106 for calculating a getting-on/getting-off easiness for the getting-on/getting-off of the getting-on/getting-off object with respect to the vehicle based on at least the three-dimensional shape of the object; and a support content generation section 107 for calculating a stopping position where the vehicle stops based on the getting-on/getting-off easiness and the stoppable area, so as to generate support contents to support the stopping of the vehicle based on the stopping position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
