To provide an energy saving navigation method for vessel and an energy saving navigation system for vessel capable of carrying out energy saving navigation by integrally selecting actuation points when control of a governor and a variable pitch propeller are combined.SOLUTION: A plurality of ALC setting curves expressing the relationship between rotational number in ALC (automatic load control) of a variable pitch propeller for propelling a vessel and output of a main engine driving the variable pitch propeller, one of the plurality of ALC setting curves is selected according to load state of the main engine as well as controlling the governor and the variable pitch propeller according to control condition for the governor adjusting fuel supplied to the main engine and the selected ALC setting curve in an energy saving navigation method for vessel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】ガバナーと可変ピッチプロペラの制御を組み合わせた場合の作動点を統合的に選定して省エネルギー運航を達成することができる船舶の省エネルギー運航方法、及び船舶の省エネルギー運航システムを提供する。【解決手段】船舶の省エネルギー運航方法においては、船舶を推進する可変ピッチプロペラのALC(自動負荷制御)における回転数と可変ピッチプロペラを駆動する主機の出力との関係を表すALC設定カーブを複数設定し、主機の負荷状態に応じて複数のALC設定カーブのうちの1つを選択するととともに、主機へ供給する燃料を調節するガバナーの制御条件と選択したALC設定カーブとに従いガバナーと可変ピッチプロペラを制御する。【選択図】図3
