To provide a vehicle battery temperature control mechanism which can extend a battery life by preventing deterioration of a battery module due to a temperature increase and allows a battery to be used up by avoiding output restraint through minimizing variations in temperatures of multiple battery modules.SOLUTION: A temperature control mechanism which controls a temperature of a vehicle battery comprises: a battery collection section with multiple battery modules arranged along a longitudinal direction of a vehicle; an air inlet for drawing in external air; a plurality of shutters which is attached to the battery modules and can variably switch between an open state, allowing the battery modules to be exposed to the incoming external air through the air inlet, and a closed state, blocking the flow of external air toward the battery modules; and a control section which manages opening and closing of the shutters.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
