To provide a technology capable of determining whether a road surface on which a vehicle travels is a convex road surface or a concave road surface.SOLUTION: In a road surface concave and convex detecting device (road surface concave and convex detecting unit 30), an acquisition unit 32 acquires a first time instance at which a wheel acceleration of a vehicle is maximum and a second time instance at which the wheel acceleration is minimum within a determination period after the wheel acceleration satisfies a determination starting condition and a determination unit 34 determines a concave and convex of a road surface based on a context of the first time instance and the second time instance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】車両の走行した路面が凸路面であるか凹路面であるか判定できる技術を提供する。【解決手段】路面凹凸検出装置(路面凹凸検出部30)において、取得部32は、車両の車輪加速度が判定開始条件を満たしてからの判定期間において車輪加速度が最大になる第1時刻および車輪加速度が最小になる第2時刻を取得する。判定部34は、第1時刻と第2時刻の前後関係にもとづいて路面の凹凸を判定する。【選択図】図1
