To provide a steel cord which is difficult to break when external force is applied.SOLUTION: The steel cord is a single-track steel cord and includes a brass plating film on its surface. A cord diameter D is 0.20 mm or more and 0.42 mm or less. The steel cord includes a bent part and a non-bent part along a longitudinal axis in alternately repeated fashion. It forms three continuous bent parts including a first bent part, a second bent part and a third bent part in order along the longitudinal axis. The steel cord is configured so that an inflection height H and the cord diameter D satisfy the relationship of 2.2≤H/D≤2.8 when the distance between a peak of the second bent part and a straight line which comes into contact with a peak of the first bent part and a peak of the third bent part is defined as the inflection height H.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
