To provide a signal processing device capable of generating a signal suited for confirming a strand cut signal.SOLUTION: A signal processing device (10) comprises: a signal acquisition unit (111) that acquires a magnetic flux measurement signal of an elevator rope (1); a strand signal identification unit (112) that identifies the frequency and the amplitude of a strand signal included in the measurement signal; an SN calculation unit (114) that calculates the SN ratio of a value of the amplitude of a strand cut signal to the values including the amplitude of the strand signal; a high-pass filter determination unit (115) that selects a cutoff frequency on the basis of the SN ratio; and a filter application unit (116) that applies a high-pass filter to the measurement signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
