To provide a boarding/alighting step which is easy for a passenger to use when boarding/alighting from a vehicle, also makes the passenger less likely to slip, prevents an excessive increase of an amount of projection of a step portion from a side sill toward a side, and is able to receive impact force, which cannot be absorbed by an energy absorbing portion, by using a battery mounted on the vehicle.SOLUTION: A boarding/alighting step structure for a vehicle includes: an energy absorbing portion which has an inside end in a vehicle width direction positioned below a side sill 14, faces an outside end-face in the vehicle width direction of a battery 20 capable of supplying electric power to an electric motor as a driving source of the vehicle, and exhibits an energy absorbing function by being deformed when an external force of a predetermined value or more is applied to the energy absorbing portion; a step portion 42 which is located below the side sill and outside in the vehicle width direction, and is deformed when external force is applied thereto to exhibit the energy absorbing function together with an energy absorbing portion; and a non-slip portion 37 which is provided on an upper surface of the step portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
