To efficiently use remaining capacity of a plurality of battery packs.SOLUTION: An electric work machine comprises: a plurality of battery packs; an operating apparatus operated by power supplied from the battery packs; and a control device controlling discharge of the battery packs based on a remaining capacity of each of the plurality of battery packs. The control device determines one of the plurality of battery packs as a discharge battery pack supplying power to the operating apparatus, and when the remaining capacity of the discharge battery pack is less than a limit threshold, performs a limiting process limiting the power supplied from the discharge battery pack to the operating apparatus. The control device makes the limit threshold and/or a content of the limiting process different depending on whether or not there is a battery pack among the plurality of battery packs other than the discharge battery packs that has a remaining capacity equal to or greater than a predetermined second threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
