To deliver articles stably and reliably without reducing a speed of transport shuttles.SOLUTION: An article transport device includes: an annular transport part 1; a plurality of transport shuttles 2 which are disposed on an outer surface of an annular shape and move in a transport direction Tr; a linear transport mechanism 3 which moves the transport shuttles 2; and a supply part 5 which supplies articles Pc to the transport shuttles 2 moving the transport part 1. Each transport shuttle 2 has holding arms 222 which may contact with at least one of a front surface Pcf and a rear surface Pcr in the transport direction Tr of the articles Pc. The two transport shuttles 2 sandwich the article Pc from the front and rear sides in the transport direction Tr with each holding arm 222 to hold the article Pc. The supply part 5 supplies each article at a position near a portion where a curved transport rail is switched to a straight transport rail of the transport part 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8

    【課題】搬送シャトルの速度を低下させることなく、安定してかつ確実に物品を受け渡す。【解決手段】環状の搬送部1と、環状における外面に配置されて搬送方向Trに移動する複数の搬送シャトル2と、搬送シャトル2を移動させるリニア搬送機構3と、搬送部2を移動する搬送シャトル2に物品Pcを供給する供給部5と、を有する。搬送シャトル2は物品Pcの搬送方向Trの前面Pcf及び後面Pcrの少なくとも一方と接触可能な保持アーム222を有する。2個の搬送シャトル2が各保持アーム222で搬送方向Trの前後から挟んで物品Pcを保持する。供給部5が、搬送部1の曲線搬送レールから直線搬送レールに切り替わる部分の近傍で物品を供給する。【選択図】図8
