To provide a battery temperature regulation method and a battery temperature regulation system which can reduce electrical power consumption for battery temperature regulation.SOLUTION: A battery temperature regulation method comprises: step S12 of acquiring a travel plan of a vehicle 10; step S14 of acquiring demand input-output of a battery 13; step S16 of acquiring first battery temperature threshold values T1, T2 satisfying the demand input-output; step S18 of acquiring a prediction temperature regulation heat quantity of the battery 13 when it is assumed to execute normal temperature regulation control at a first time in the travel plan; step S26 of calculating the first battery temperature threshold values T1, T2 at a second time after the first time and an excess temperature regulation heat quantity on the basis of a prediction temperature of the battery 13; step S28 of setting an operation time of a temperature regulation device 30 shorter by subtracting the excess temperature regulation heat quantity from the prediction temperature regulation heat quantity at the first time; and step S40 of regulating a temperature of the battery 13 by actuating the temperature regulation device 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
