To provide an article holding member which can be used for holding various articles without causing deterioration of visual quality on a design surface in a vehicle while inhibiting increase of costs.SOLUTION: An article holding member is used to hold an article and has a cylindrical part formed by a cylindrical material. An inner surface of the cylindrical part is formed with a holding part which enables holding of the article and engages with the article. The article holding member is provided at a first portion of an interior material of a vehicle and the first portion is covered with a second portion of the vehicle which is different from the interior material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
