To suppress a burden of a charging power amount on a vehicle user.SOLUTION: A battery temperature control method includes: performing first temperature control determination (S400) that determines whether or not to execute a pre-temperature control (S600) that warms up or cools a battery 34 mounted in an electric vehicle when an external charging request signal Sc indicating an execution request of external charging to the battery 34 is received; and executing the pre-temperature control when the result of the first temperature control determination is positive. Especially, in the first temperature control determination, a charging gain amount GB is calculated, the charging gain amount GB that suggests an increment in the charging power amount due to execution of the pre-temperature control (S401); a temperature control power consumption ΔEb_temc is calculated, the temperature control power consumption ΔEb_temc that suggests the power amount consumed by execution of the pre-temperature control; and it is determined that the pre-temperature control should be executed when a charging gain amount GB exceeds the temperature control power consumption ΔEtemc (S403, S404).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】車両ユーザが負う充電電力量の負担を抑制する。【解決手段】電動車両に搭載されるバッテリ34に対する外部充電の実行要求を示す外部充電要求信号Scを受信すると、バッテリ34を暖機又は冷却するプレ温調制御(S600)を実行するか否かを判定する第1温調判定(S400)を行い、第1温調判定の結果が肯定的であると、プレ温調制御を実行する。特に、第1温調判定では、プレ温調制御の実行による充電電力量の増加分を示唆する充電ゲイン量GBを演算し(S401)、プレ温調制御の実行により消費される電力量を示唆する温調消費電力量ΔEb_temcを演算し、充電ゲイン量GBが温調消費電力量ΔEtemcを超える場合にプレ温調制御を実行すべきと判断する(S403、S404)。【選択図】図3
