To satisfactorily oxidize unburned methane contained in exhaust gas and suppress a decrease in the drive efficiency of a supercharger.SOLUTION: An engine system comprises: an engine that is driven using methane as a fuel; a supercharger that is driven by discharge gas discharged from an exhaust section of the engine to supply air to the engine; a discharge pipe through which the discharge gas discharged from the supercharger passes; a first oxidation processing unit into which the discharge gas is introduced via the discharge pipe and in which a first methane oxidation catalyst is housed; a supercharger bypass pipe which causes a part of the discharge gas discharged from the exhaust section to bypass the supercharger and merge into the discharge pipe; and a second oxidation processing unit which is provided in the middle of the supercharger bypass pipe and in which a second methane oxidation catalyst is housed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
