To increase the degree of freedom in replacement and customization of control system parts of a rope-type elevator.SOLUTION: The safety control circuit for the unintended car movement protection is formed on one substrate so as to be replaceable and attachable as one module separately from a control board where a normal operation control circuit is installed, and includes multiple input connection parts and output connection parts, a storage unit for safety control storing predetermined multiple logic programs for operation abnormality determination including a logic program for door open running determination and storing logic program data for each operation abnormality determination, and an arithmetic processing device for safety control making an abnormality determination by processing a received signal according to the logic program for operation abnormality determination, and creating and outputting a car stop command signal which cuts off power supply to a motor electromagnetic contactor and a brake electromagnetic contactor connected to a power supply circuit based on the abnormality determination. The arithmetic processing device for safety control creates and outputs abnormality signals corresponding to each type of the abnormality determination when the abnormality is determined.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
