To provide a carbon fiber base material which achieves heat resistance and moldability at a high level, and a prepreg and a porous structure using the same which have high resistance.SOLUTION: A carbon fiber base material contains carbon fibers (A), and a resin composition (B) coating the surface of the carbon fibers (A), wherein the carbon fibers (A) form a non-woven fabric, and tensile strength after heating at 300°C for 5 minutes is 110% or more of that before heating.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
