To provide a method for navigating a vessel at low fuel cost.SOLUTION: A low fuel cost navigating method for cargo vessel voyage includes: a first step of acquiring a GM value in a cargo loaded state in a cargo vessel with a gross tonnage of 499 tons or less configured to navigate loaded with cargoes; and a second step of repeating adjustment of weight of ballast until the GM value becomes 50 cm and then, upon coming into a state with the GM value at 50 cm, starting navigation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
